The Most Expensive Burger
The Most Expensive · Dec 2, 2018
When someone asks you to go for a burger - your natural first thought would be either fast food or a steakhouse; both of which (very approximately) would cost anywhere between £3 and £15. However, if you happen to live in Chelsea this may not be the case at the Honky Tonk Restaurant. They've created a burger that comes in at £1,100. Not only is that expensive, it's enough to buy nearly 410 Big Macs from McDonalds!
The burger, dubbed 'The Glam Burger' is made with 220 grams of Kobe Wagyu beef alongside 60 grams of New Zealand smoke venison. The combination between the most exclusive and flavourful types of meat makes for one tasty burger already before anything is added to it.
When it comes to toppings, Honky Tonk definitely do not hesitate to cover it with the most lavish and luxury items that money can buy. Not only are the toppings extreme but in the burger itself there is a small deposit of black truffle brie. If that wasn't enough the burger is served with Canadian lobster poached in Iranian saffron, Maple syrup covered streaky bacon, Beluga Caviar and a hickory smoked duck egg covered with a thin layer of edible gold. The bun itself is coated in gold leaf (as if there wasn't enough gold in it already) and to finish the whole thing is drizzled with a mango and champaign jus with white truffle shavings.
